Ternate, my first impression

Ternate is a name which help new world history written. It was the spices once lure the traders and conqurers to come and settle on the island. Power and domination, intriques and colaboration are all taken place in Ternate and its surrounding islands.

Arabian traders who arrive earlier (about in 9th century) blend well with locals and it descendants help form the earlier Kingdom on the island. Then the Spanish, Portuguese and the Dutch take their turn to control the spice trading right from the land where cloves grow.

I myself print my first foot step centuries later. Once I approached Terante air coridor, I then realised that I will soon arrive at the one of the most sceinic area in the world. Calm deep blue ocean garnished with cone shaped soaring volcanoes.

It is one of the Remote Destination Indonesia, yet within reach. As there are regular daily flights connecting Ternate with the rest of Indonesia and the world.
